Now Gundel knows I'm her SP I can finally post a picture of the woven wrap I made for her. I used lots of textures - most of which can't be seen from this shot - sorry. Posted by Picasa

I got tagged............

The effervescent Glittrgirl tagged me to list 5 of my personal idiosyncracies. This has taken some thought and also some input from others (namely the ole man). So here goes;

1) I (apparently) say "do you know what I mean?" a lot. (Humph - I'm not so sure on this one).

2) I bite my lower lip when concentrating.

3) I like scratchy towels. I hate soft towels that just shove the water around your body.

4) I drum - finger drumsticks - when thinking. Not tapping but actual drumming. This even drives me demented.

5) I rub my head in my pillow 3 times before going to sleep at night.

So I now have to tag 5 people. I will choose Gundel, KatieLee (it's a SP thing), the trueggman, Helen (poetangel) and Anniesknit.

My Denise fired me up to finish Lovlund In Noro Silk Garden. Here it is blocking in the laundry room - it's a very low cut top on me - needed a smaller size I think - but I love it - it's quite flattering for a stripy top. Posted by Picasa

Not the best picture - but this is a top from the Rowam Linen Print book knitted in Hip Knits silk - the colourways is called Brighton. I'm not modelling this - as it is way too revealing! It does look very sexy on though. Posted by Picasa

Finally got around to having a new piercing - it's a bit bruised and swollen today - but I'm really pleased with it. Posted by Picasa

Stuff

So it's official I am in love.................with my Denise knitting needles. I've been meaning to buy some for ages and succumbed on Friday, they were delivered yesterday and it's bliss. Last night I was knitting my silk garden top (it's taking me a while to finish this) which normally after 6 rows makes my hands ache - but not now! The needles are soooooo light - it made knitting heaven.

I also purchased EZ's (Elizabeth Zimmerman) 'Knitting Without Tears' (loads of people recommend this book) and although I am an experienced knitter this book has taught me loads already - including a very liberating attitude to 'my' knitting. If you knit and haven't read it - get it from the library - what a clever and sensible lady.

Finally - check out Elizabeths new blog - 'Never on Oprah Reading List' - see under my complete profile. I've signed up to contribute (haven't yet) but it's going to be interesting. Those of you who read the Knitty board - it's in the library thread - title is the same as the blog name.

P.S - Fingers crossed for M's CAT scan tomorrow. The rest of us are all well - my knee seems heaps better - even managed a work out today (the 1st time in over 8 weeks - boy am I out of shape now).
