I'm back!!

Didja miss me? Nope thought not!

WARNING!!!!!! - Boring holiday photos below.

We had a great time. Glad to be home. A bit travel weary and tired but also very chilled and relaxed from a week of walking, climbing, good food and wine, log fires and in my case sock knitting.

Didn't miss the outside world or the TV at all.

We're still on holiday for the rest of the week - but intend to doss around and take it easy.

Apologies for the misspelling of Dartmoor - below - I'm plum tuckered out and slightly brain dead - hey who shouted out "normal then".

Now I'm off to check that you've all been good bunnies whilst I was gone. Big brother has nothing on me - I have my ways - mwhahahaha.

P.S - although we had no TV J still spent a whole week going on about Dr Who - even seeing barn owls flying everynight didn't distract him from Daleks nor did the bats, squirrels, wild deer, rabbits, buzzards, numerous garden birds, pheasant or Dartmoor ponies. My poor ears!

Dartmore National Park. Pil Tor. Posted by Picasa

Gratnor Cottage our remote holiday home piece of heaven! Posted by Picasa

It's not a Tor unless you climb on top of it. Just call me Twizzle - the dog almost pulled my arm out of its socket trying to get up there as well! Posted by Picasa

Mike, Jakob and Lou-lou on the top of Saddle Tor. This is just across the moor from the more famous Haytor. Posted by Picasa

A misty early morning view from Gratnor Cottage. I suppose this is how I really remember it best. Posted by Picasa

Off, off & away.

So tomorrow we're off on our hols *hurrah*, no inane babblings for a bit, no piccies of yarn, knitting and dolls with unfeasibley large heads and creepy, follow you about the room eyes. No spider portraits for the squeamish either. Just a blank, empty nothingness until I get home and bore y'all titless with my holiday photos "mwhahaha" *evil laugh*.

Be good while I'm away - nice clean fun now.

Sis - beware, beware the ides of Mother!!! It's your turn for the riotous church stories and witty quips and bitching about her friends and probably us. I hope your giggle muscles are up to it. I find the occasional "mmmmm" and "really" suffice.

See y'all (I use this just to annoy monkee) when I get back.

Wheeeeeee *exits singing happy holiday song*

Here is my mini Clapotis. It's so soft and lovely and I used the stitch markers that my SP5 buddy sent me. I loved making this and will make another! Posted by Picasa

A bit closer of my mini Clapotis. This took 3 skeins of Hipknits silk (almost). It's drying now after a gentle wash. I'm hoping this stop the paler colour from shedding quite so much. Posted by Picasa

I have been a having a moment or two of sock A.D.D - here are two mismatched socks. You can see my intentions are good - cos I have started their mates! Hopefully the pairs will get completed whilst I'm away on my hols. Posted by Picasa

I feel so ill!

Last night I did a community knitting project talk. The idea is to encourage older women who no longer knit or who never have to go back to knitting or to learn to knit. It went really well! So there I am giving my little talk, teaching knitting and crochet and I felt so hot. I didn't think much of it at the time, it being a warm evening an all.

I got home about 9.30pm ish and still felt hot, put all the fans on, even though M assured me it wasn't hot. Tried to drink a glass of wine, which tasted rank. Tried to read but ached all over and couldn't concentrate. Went to bed, was so cold my teeth were chattering, then so hot I couldn't stand it. My legs, hips, neck and head all ached - yuck!

So today, I feel terrible. Still hot and cold, still aching also now feel sick. So I'm off to flop on the sofa or bed.

I have such a busy 2 weeks coming up - I have to throw this off asap. Virtual ((hugs)), good vibes etc would be much appreciated. *sniff, sniff*
